Bend FC Timbers Soccer Field

Bend, Oregon

Project Stats

Ashley & Vance Engineering led the design, permitting, and construction administration of two new, artificial turf soccer fields and associated site amenities for the Bend FC Timbers soccer club. These new fields were constructed at Bend Park and Recreation District’s Pine Nursery Park with close collaboration with Park staff. AV provided full design of the fields including grading and stormwater design, coordinated all utility connections, obtained permitting through the City of Bend, and assisted with construction administration. Two new, lighted fields with associated site amenities are now open and usable for the club, and the FC Timbers are preparing to build 2 more fields, using the AV team as their lead engineer and project manager. The Timbers always desired these fields to be artificial turf for year round use, however, AV provided a design and cost analysis between using artificial and natural turf. AV also reviewed several turf manufacturers options and helped Timbers decide on the final product based on construction costs.
