French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) Expansion

The French Hospital Medical Center Emergency Department Expansion featured an expansion and relocation of the existing emergency services facility. Support for anchorage of various onsite improvements such as, medical, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, as well as a steel entry canopy feature at the patient intake area. The canopy features tempered laminated glass, bolted to tapered steel beams, supported by cantilevered steel columns with concrete surround, on conventional concrete pad foundations. Consideration and coordination with the adjacent existing building and active hospital uses were required throughout the course of the project.
