Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown

Hampton Inn Downtown Oakland is an 8-story, 122 guest room hotel located in the heart of downtown Oakland. As the one of the first hotels to be built downtown in recent years, it has helped to revitalize the area and provides a new and modern space for for business and leisure travelers to stay. The majority of the upper floors utilize a modular ConXtech framing system supported by two levels of post-tensioned concrete podiums. Farrell Design-Build installed more than 200 drill displacement columns (DDC) as part of the ground improvement required to support a building of this size. As the structural engineer of record for the Hampton Inn in downtown Oakland, we are proud to have played a key role in this innovative project.
