Morro Bay Water Reclamation Facility
Project Stats
Ashley & Vance Engineering provided structural and civil engineering services from design through construction under City, State, and California Coastal Commission requirements for this project with a $126 million project budget. Designs include below ground concrete structures and extensive concrete foundations for tanks, mechanical equipment, and pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs). Civil engineering included hydraulic calculations for stormwater management onsite. This project includes a new one million gallon-per-day advanced treatment facility, two new lift stations, approximately 3.5 miles of pipelines, and wells to inject the purified water into the groundwater aquifer. In total, this complex design is the City of Morro Bay’s largest infrastructure project to date.
