The Kitchen Terminal

The project involved a 9,700 sq. ft. single-story commercial building with associated site improvements. The building houses a food truck commissary with a commercial kitchen and vehicle storage, along with a furniture wholesaler. Constructed as a Type V-B structure with fire sprinklers, the building features a steel-framed structure, a wood-framed mezzanine, and a conventional slab-on-grade with spread pad foundations. The steel frame was a pre-engineered metal building, with the roof and lateral systems designed by the metallic building company, and the mezzanine and foundations designed by Ashley & Vance Engineering. Additionally, AV provided design services for site walls, canopy features, trash enclosures, and foundations for cantilevered parking structures.
